"hey guys, here is an update:
this past few weeks have been super busy. to start things off we headed to slat lake city for the
2nd last stop of the tour. this is always my favourite stop cause the jumps are always awesome
and big. im heaps stoked my back is holding up so i could ride this stop.
the course setup was pretty dope, big booter first set straight into a left turn, then it was a booter
outta the turn then straight into a right hip then left hip the last set. the course was fun and pretty
tech and i loved the big booter first set.
i qualified into finals in 2nd, so i was so stoked on that. i always feel that prelims is harder than
finals. once your in finals then you can relax and know the worst you can come is 12th.
the next day was finals day. i woke up heaps sore. i guess it was from walking up the little crappy
steps that had going up the roll in cause i didnt crash at all during prelims. we had a chill day and
then went down to practice. it was a pretty windy evening cause there was a big storm rolling
through the mountains surrounding SLC. it didnt bother me too much, im use to the wind having to
ride in vegas all the time. finally the comp started and i rolled in for my first run. i wanted to do the
same run in prelims as my firrst run in finals so i had one in the bank. i was stoked cause i pulled it
perfect. better than how i did it in prelims. my second run was similar but instead of doing a
regular 360 whip mid set, i wanted to do a 360 double whip. i was pumped cause i pulled that run
clean too. so after having 2 runs in the bank i just thought id send it in my last run and triple whip
the frist set, 360 double whip mid set and finish off we another 720 on the last set. i landed the
triple whip perfect which gave me a bit of extra heat in the turn and i over shot the opposite 360
outta the turn so that was my throw away run. at the end of the day to finish in 4th place and pull
my first 2 runs im heaps stoked. im also stoked that i did a lot of different stuff than what i
normally do. i.e 720's, oppo 3's instead of flip whips and frontys.
so back home in vegas now, its the biggest week in vegas for bmx all year. with interbike, the
stephen murray bar benefit and nora cup you know the week is going to be long... i wanted to
keep it chill and not participate in all of the late night parties and what not that was going on, so i
attended the bar benefit for stephen, which was awesome, and then pretty much chilled for the
rest of the week.
now the wind has come up and were pretty much just chillin on the couch, hopefully by the
weekend were shredding the yard again.
cheers,
Cam"

"Hey guys, been so busy for me lately so its been a minute since my last update, but here it is.
Well since I got the epidural injection in my spine a couple of weeks ago, my back has started to feel really good. It’s been that long since my back has had this pain free movement I had forgotten how good it actually feels to be healthy. I started riding again, I was a bit hesitant at first because I was worried that my pain would come back and I would be back to being hurt. It was such a crappy injury limiting so much so the last thing I wanted was to be back there. I had a couple of chill sessions in the yard and it held up really good, so last wednesday I went to woodward for the day with nate. This was the first big session I had on my bike in ages. I got tired pretty quick due to being unfit, but everything felt great on my bike. The next day I was pretty sore and tender but that was all over not just my back. Since then ive been riding every morning, having sweet as sessions because the weather is great out here this time of year except for the last 2 days with this crappy wind, but hopefully that blows out soon!
I've also had my mates Rob, Megan and Bairdy over here visiting from Australia, and before then My mum and sister as well. its been a good time having everyone here visiting and travelling to utah and san diego and getting our chill on.
Next thing on my list is the Salt Lake City Dew stop, I’m excited cause as of today (touch wood) this will be my first comp all year with out any injuries. so hopefully its a good one and this lack of time on my bike doesnt effect me. Either way its gonna be heaps of fun cause salt lake is always the best stop so I’m excited. The drawings of the jumps look awesome, lets hope there big and fast, just like I like 'em.
Well thats pretty much all I have for this update, thanks heaps Doc for helping out and getting my back dialed in.. stoked."
